About the Scheme
Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana (NSMNY) is a farmer welfare scheme.
Under this scheme, eligible farmer families receive financial assistance from the government.
The scheme provides ₹6,000 per year to eligible beneficiaries.
The amount is transferred in three equal instalments.
Benefits are provided through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
Farmers who are eligible for PM-KISAN are also eligible for benefits under NSMNY.

Important Benefit Points
Eligible farmer families receive ₹2,000 in each instalment under NSMNY.
Beneficiaries receiving PM-KISAN benefits can also receive NSMNY benefits if eligible.
The first NSMNY instalment was provided based on the PM-KISAN 14th instalment beneficiary list.
Eligible farmers can receive benefits from both PM-KISAN and NSMNY.
The benefit amount is credited directly to the beneficiary’s bank account.
Only Aadhaar-linked bank accounts can receive this payment.

Income Tax Payers
Persons who paid income tax in the last assessment year are not eligible
Professionals
Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, Chartered Accountants, and Architects engaged in professional practice are not eligible
NRIs
Non-Resident Indians are not eligible
Exception
Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS), Class IV employees, and Group D employees are excluded from certain government employee and pensioner restrictions mentioned in the scheme guidelines.
Application Process for the Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana (NSMNY)
Farmers registered under PM-KISAN, owning cultivable land in Maharashtra as of February 1, 2019, are eligible. Exclusions include government employees, income taxpayers, and holders of constitutional posts.
Is it mandatory to link a bank account with Aadhaar?
Yes, it is mandatory to link the bank account with Aadhaar to avail the benefits of NSMNY.
How to register for the NSMNY Scheme?
There is no need to register for the NSMNY scheme. The eligible PM KISAN registered beneficiaries are NSMNY beneficiaries.
